Theresa Shirley (Vaillancourt) O'Dea, 81, of Mattapoisett died February 7, 2012 at Sippican Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Martin E. O'Dea. Born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Sarah (McClellan) Vaillancourt, she lived in Lowell before moving to Wareham in 1991 and then to Mattapoisett in 2004. Mrs. O'Dea was formerly employed as a nurses aide. She enjoyed the company of her dog Budda and cat Lucky, enjoyed playing Bingo and loved her computer. Survivors include several nieces and nephews including Diane Knight and her husband Peter of Mattapoisett, and their children Robert Knight and his wife Kristen of Billerica, Cheryl Knight of New Bedford and Michael Knight of Fairhaven; and a great-grandnephew, Liam Robert Philips. She was the sister of the late Josephine Proulx, Rose McGadden, Jeanette Carr and Vivian Dureault. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in St. Anthony's Church, Mattapoisett.
