Breakfast in Rochester173 viewsThe Rochester Senior Center is now open every Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 9:00 am serving homemade breakfast. This program is open to people of all ages and does not require any kind of reservation. The menu for this new endeavor is simple, hearty and inexpensive. A full breakfast of eggs, a drink, potatoes and toast will cost a diner under $5. The menu is as varied as it is delicious and meals are prepared to order, unlike most fast food restaurants. Bikes, Bikes, Bikes!30 viewsThe Third Annual Pan Mass Challenge Kids Tri-Town Ride attracted several hundred young bicyclist to the ORR campus on Saturday morning, May 16, for a bike rally to help defeat cancer. Proceeds from the event will go to several charities in the state such as the Jimmy Fund and Dana- Farber Cancer Institute to assist in cancer research. Disaster Drill55 viewsFairhaven Fire Department hosted a full-scale exercise to improve emergency response in the region. Mattapoisett, Rochester, Dartmouth, Freetown, Acushnet, and New Bedford all responded to a disaster that simulated an accident between a school bus and an oil truck at Livesey Park in Fairhaven. The town appropriated $3.8 million for the new building, which replaces the old police station on Spring Street.
